 Did you know..... There is a Global Clean Water Crises and you can help! For eight months each year, the families of Jogad Village in India brave the harsh conditions of the desert to labor as salt farmers. Poisonous animals and the scorching sun are a constant danger. However, the most pressing issue is insufficient water. But Citizen Effect is helping us solve Jogad's water crisis. Currently, families depend on government tankards for their water supply. Unfortunately, these tankards cannot reach Jogad’s commune of tents. Instead, the community must pay for private vehicles to deliver their water. This is a massive expense for a community where 95% of the families live below the poverty line. Citizen Effect is helping us do something about that. Gifts purchased at Gifts that Give will help ensure that 50 of Jogad’s families are supplied with 200-liter water tanks for the safe water storage and distribution. The durable, lightweight tanks will allow the villagers to easily transport water back and forth to their homes.
